The Friends is an all-volunteer
organization. About 120 men and women donate their time and talents to
leading tours, organizing and staffing Under-the-Dome gift shop, and preparing
events, newsletter, and educational materials. All funds and donations
generated by these activities are devoted to the restoration and to State
House collections.

Annual volunteer luncheon for work and training
signups. Special speaker will be Jane Beck of the Vermont Folklife Center.
Their recent series "Under the Golden Dome" was broadcast on
Vermont Public Radio. She will speak on the differences of collecting
oral or written history.
Farmer's Night,
Pete Sutherland gave a stellar
performance of history ballads to a full house on March 23rd, 2005.
